Rob Muller was appointed Dean of the National College of Education at National Louis University in Chicago in 2015. Each term over 2,000 students enrolled in NLU’s undergraduate and graduate degree and certificate programs to become exemplary teachers and advance as leaders in their fields. Muller was previously director of Strategy and Business Development at SRI Education, and prior as vice president of CNA Education and director of the Regional Educational Laboratory, Appalachia. He served as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Vocational and Adult Education and Senior Advisor to the Deputy Secretary of Education at the U.S. Department of Education during the Clinton and Bush administrations. Muller has consulted on a wide range of education policy and practice issues at the federal, state and local levels. He was adjunct professor at the McCourt School of Public Policy at Georgetown University and the College of Education and RH Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland. Muller holds the Ed.D. (Higher Education Management), University of Pennsylvania; Master in Public Policy, Harvard
Kennedy School; B.A., Amherst College.
