Senior Director of Finance
Overview
Tripti Thapa is the Senior Director of Finance for Deans for Impact. Prior to joining DFI, she provided finance and strategy consulting to start-up companies and led the finance and accounting team at VideoMining Corporation. Tripti received her bachelor’s degree in economics from Harvard and an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management.
I believe collecting, tracking, and analyzing data for continuous learning and improvement is vital for any organization or institution to succeed.
Why were you excited to join Deans for Impact?
My excitement was two fold: I strongly believed in the mission of the organization to use science-based data-driven approach to improve quality of education and I was impressed by the organization’s focus on creating a learning culture for its employees.
Who was your favorite teacher and why?
Mr. Pant, my 6th grade English teacher, was my favorite teacher. He made an effort to connect beyond the class curriculum to help me understand my strengthens and weaknesses and challenged me to live up to the high expectation he had of me.
What’s your favorite food truck and why?
East Side King because I love spicy Thai food.
