Each year, nearly 200,000 new teachers graduate from preparation programs in the United States. Most report feeling unprepared to teach in classrooms of their own. But this is starting to change. Across the country, leaders in educator preparation are stepping up to say: We have to do better — for kids, for aspiring teachers, and for the nation.
