Tripti Thapa

As the Vice President of Finance and Administration, Tripti oversees organizational financial operations and planning, and supports fundraising. She was a founding member of the DEI committee that advocated for diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects for DFI's work. Tripti enjoys cooking and reading with her two wonderful daughters and loves to paint and garden in her free time. Tripti is also very passionate about environmental sustainability and is dedicated to promoting sustainable practices at home and work.

What compels you about DFI's mission of ensuring that every child has a well-prepared teacher?

Children spend an enormous amount of time with their teachers on a day-to-day basis and hence, teachers exert a significant influence in many aspects of their lives. When every child has a well-prepared teacher, every child thrives regardless of their background and identities.

What do you enjoy most about working at DFI?

DFI's culture is one of its biggest asset. We value each other's inputs and viewpoints, and show care during challenging times. DFI also provides opportunities to learn and grow that allows staff to have a fulfilling professional life.

What's a principle, philosophy, or quote you live by, and why?

Everyone has an infinite potential to learn and grow. This belief helps me feel alive, recover from inevitable set-backs, and be compassionate towards myself and others.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

I enjoy gardening and nature walks, and I meditate regularly. They help center me and create balance in my life.
